His
style is Pop/Rock piano with a contemporary twist. His
songs tell a multitude of stories with the ambition of
shooting for the stars. This can be heard on his debut
album "A Pending Notion". Osborne extends his
vast musical talents on the album by playing piano, keyboards
and drums. He sings lead and backing vocals as well. With
the help of Lenny Rocillo and his dynamic bass riffs and
the majestic saxophone of James Halperin, this piano driven
album will surely have a positive impact on the listener.
Primarily a drummer from a very young age, Osborne gained
his musical experience by playing drums in bands and numerous
studio situations over the years. He continued to play
the drums through his teen and early adult years, eventually
cofounding his own band in 1995 called North Purpose (which
had an adequate five year run). During his time with North
Purpose, Osborne started to take up the keyboards in his
spare time.
Although he still has a strong attachment to the drums,
his true passion lies in the piano. After the demise of
North Purpose he wanted more than just playing the drums.
Osborne found himself eager to start writing melodies
to apply to his vocal and percussive talents. So he started
writing for and on the piano. Tom Osborne is a lover of
music. His tastes range from classical to rock. At the
moment he is inspired to write what he feels. Some of
his influences just to name a few are Elton John and Billy
Joel.
